Mr. Tarpine defends employers, insurers, self-insured employers and municipalities in all phases of Workers' Compensation claims in the State of Maryland and the District of Columbia. He regularly represents clients at hearings before the Workers' Compensation Commission and in jury trials in Circuit Courts throughout the State of Maryland. He also practices before the Maryland Court of Special Appeals, Maryland Court of Appeals and District of Columbia Court of Appeals. He has presented seminars to other attorneys, insurance adjusters, risk managers and human resource personnel on workers' compensation issues. Mr. Tarpine is also barred in the State of New Jersey, in which he clerked for the New Jersey Superior Court and later practiced workers' compensation, and in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in which he worked for the Pennsylvania Office of Attorney General.
