 Experience
Mrs. Fitzwater defends employers and insurers, and has
extensive experience in both Maryland and West Virginia. She has handled and
argued cases before the Court of Special Appeals of Maryland. Mrs. Fitzwater has
prepared an amicus curiae brief on a key case for the insurance defense
community in West Virginia. She has been a presenter at programs and seminars on
workers’ compensation, as well as good faith training in West Virginia. Mrs.
Fitzwater previously served on the Garrett County Adult Guardianship Supervisory
Board and currently serves on the Berkeley County, West Virginia Nuisance Appeal
Board.
Mrs. Fitzwater earned the American Jurisprudence Award in
Trial Advocacy in 1991 at the University of Baltimore School of Law where she
also was a staff writer for the Law Forum.
