Experience
Tony W. Torain, II is an associate in the Firm’s Workers’
Compensation and Employers’ Liability practice. He represents employers and
insurance companies in the defense of workers’ compensation claims and insurance
subrogation matters before the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission and
Maryland courts.
Mr. Torain is a graduate of the University of Maryland
School of Law where he served as the treasurer of the Moot Court Board.
While attending law school, he was a research assistant for Professor
Michael Van Alstine and assisted with the development of a book on treaties
and international law. He also received the 2010 William H. Murphy
Scholarship and the Public Service Award. Prior to joining Semmes as an
Associate, Mr. Torain worked as a Summer Associate with the Firm.
