Experience
Mr. Shapiro is an associate in the Workers’ Compensation and
Employers’ Liability Practice. He represents self-insured employers as well as
insurance companies at the Maryland Workers’ Compensation Commission and
throughout the court system of Maryland.
While attending law school Mr. Shapiro was an Articles
Editor on the Journal of Business and Technology Law. He served as a law
clerk at the Department of Justice and as a research assistant to Professor
Michael Van Alstine. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shapiro was an associate
at a Baltimore based law firm where he practiced in civil litigation,
employment law and workers’ compensation. Mr. Shapiro also held a position
as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland School of Law.
