Bartlett III, honored for Transportation/Maritime NEWS | Semmes hosts National Association of Women Judges Forum on the Judicial Selection ProcessDistrict 4 of the National Association of Women Judges, which includes Maryland, the District of Columbia and Virginia, presented a forum on the judicial selection process on January 26, 2012 at the law offices of Semmes, Bowen & Semmes, 25 South Charles Street, Baltimore, Maryland 21201. Judge Claudia Barber, Director of District 4 and Administrative Law Judge in the District of Columbia, developed this event to educate attorneys on how the judicial selection process works. The forum covered the state and federal courts, and government tribunals, including administrative law courts and board of contract appeal tribunals. Judge Marcella Holland, Administrative Judge of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City moderated the forum. The panelists include Judge Judith Dowd of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Judge Angela Evans, Associate Judge of the Circuit Court for Harford County, Charles Fuller, Esquire, Howard County Judicial Nomination Commission, Judge Pauline Newman of the United States Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit, and Marisa Trasatti, Esquire, Principal at Semmes, Bowen & Semmes and Co-Chair of the Maryland Defense Counsel Judicial Selection Committee.
